Terms of Use
Floe is a journal and timer for cold-water dips on iPhone and Apple Watch, made by Georgiy Gorokhov. Floe is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page explains how Floe Premium is sold and adds a few notes on safety.
Floe Premium
- Yearly subscription. Floe Premium is an auto-renewable subscription that renews every year. New subscribers may get a free trial; its length and the price in your currency are shown in the app before you buy.
- Lifetime. On iPhone, Floe Premium is also offered as a one-time purchase that does not renew.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you subscribe during a free trial, the unused part of the trial ends when the paid subscription starts.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Cold water and your health
Cold water is dangerous. It can cause cold shock, loss of breath control, hypothermia and heart rhythm problems. Floe is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.
- Water temperatures, forecasts, the best window and the time-in-water guide are estimates. Conditions at your spot can be different — check them yourself before you go in.
- Heart rate and recovery shown by Floe come from Apple Watch and are for your information only.
- Talk to a doctor before you start cold-water dipping, especially if you have a heart or blood-pressure condition or are pregnant.
- Never dip alone, stay close to the shore, follow local rules and warnings, and get out as soon as you feel unwell.
You use Floe and go into cold water at your own risk.
Clubs
Club names and names in clubs are visible to other members. Keep them friendly: names that are offensive, impersonate someone or advertise may be removed. The person who runs a club decides who stays in it. Weekly numbers on a club board come from each member's own journal and are not checked by Floe.
